What is the Family Development Program?
FaDSS is a home visitation program for low income families available in ALL 99 COUNTIES IN IOWA. SCICAP serves Adair, Madison, Adams, Union, Clarke, Lucas, Monroe, Taylor, Ringgold, Decatur, and Wayne. FaDSS families participate voluntarily in free services in partnership with their FaDSS Family Development Specialist who works with the whole family to address their basic needs, improve child well-being, and develop career opportunities that, in turn, IMPROVE LIVES, FAMILIES, AND COMMUNITIES. If you currently have children 0-18 in your home, are under 175% FPL, are a resident of Iowa we would like to talk with you about enrolling in our Family Development and Self-Sufficiency (FaDSS) program.
How can I receive this service?
Sometimes families are referred to us through the Iowa Department of Human Services or the Promise Jobs programs, but if your family is below 175% poverty and have children under the age of 18, you can sign up on your own. For more information please call 641-774-8133 ext 227
